Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

The short version

1. Who is responsible

SoloBlocks.io is run by Mining Hardware Limited, trading as Mineshop.eu (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect and why

Visiting the website

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to our web server and to our content delivery network, Cloudflare: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and the time. We need this to deliver the site, keep it secure (for example against attacks and abusive bots) and fix errors.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: server logs are kept only for a short time for security and troubleshooting, then deleted automatically when the logs rotate.

Visitor statistics (only with your consent)

If you click Accept in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, how visitors found us, roughly which country and city they are in, and the type of device and browser. Google Analytics sets the cookies listed below and does not store your IP address. We use it only for statistics, not for advertising.

If you don't accept, or you click Reject, nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookies are set.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the EU cookie rules). You can withdraw it at any time under Cookie settings; we then also delete the analytics cookies. How long: Google keeps the statistics for the retention period set in our account, at most 14 months.

Block alert emails

If you sign up on the Alerts page, we store your email address, a random confirmation and unsubscribe code, when you signed up and confirmed, whether you have unsubscribed, and when we last emailed you. We first send one email asking you to confirm (double opt-in). After you confirm, we email you when a solo miner finds a block. We don't use the address for anything else and don't share it for marketing.

The emails are sent through our email delivery provider, Resend.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). How long: until you unsubscribe with the link in any alert email. After that we keep the address marked as unsubscribed so we don't email you again; if you want it deleted completely, email us.

Kratos telemetry

Miners running Kratos firmware can send anonymous performance reports to our server. A report contains: a device ID that is hashed on the device before it is sent, the miner model, firmware and Kratos versions, hashrate, temperatures, power use, efficiency, voltage, fan speed, accepted and rejected shares, the tuning preset, the pool's host name and the time. It contains no name, email address or wallet address, and we don't store IP addresses with it.

We use the reports for performance statistics (for example which tuning settings run best) and to improve Kratos.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving Kratos and publishing performance statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: as long as the reports are useful for these statistics.

When you email us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: as long as needed to deal with your question.

Public blockchain data we show

SoloBlocks.io shows data that anyone can already see on the public Bitcoin blockchain: block height and hash, time, reward, the text in the coinbase transaction (often a pool or miner tag) and the payout address. We get it from mempool.space and from public pool statistics. From this we estimate things like a miner's hashrate or device type. We don't try to find out who is behind an address.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in publishing statistics about solo mining (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you believe a page shows information about you and you want us to limit it, email us. You have the right to object (see Your rights).

3. Cookies and browser storage

We only set analytics cookies if you accept them. The other items below are stored in your own browser to make the site work the way you asked; they are never sent to us.

4. Who else receives data

We use a few service providers. They process data only on our behalf or as described here.

ProviderWhat forData
Our web hosting providerRuns the server and databaseEverything described above that we store
Cloudflare, Inc.Content delivery and protection against attacksTechnical data of every visit, including IP address
Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLCGoogle Analytics 4, only after your consentUsage statistics and the analytics cookies
Resend, Inc.Sends the block alert emailsYour email address and the email content

Live data loaded by your browser: to show up-to-date numbers, some pages load data straight from other services, which then see your IP address like any website you visit: mempool.space (network hashrate and difficulty on Pool Rankings and the Calculator) and CoinGecko (the Bitcoin price in euros on the Calculator).

Links and share buttons: the X (Twitter) share buttons, app store links, Discord and links to mineshop.eu or other sites are plain links. Nothing is loaded from those services until you click, and after that their own privacy policies apply. Purchases on mineshop.eu are covered by the Mineshop.eu privacy policy.

We don't sell personal data. We only disclose it to authorities if the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare, Google and Resend are based in, or use servers in, the United States. When they receive personal data there, the transfer is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

Email [email protected] and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Ireland, where we are based, that is the Data Protection Commission, or the authority in the EU country where you live.

7. Children

SoloBlocks.io is not aimed at children under 16. If you believe a child has signed up for alerts, email us and we will delete the address.

8. Security

The whole site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our servers and database is restricted. Unsubscribe links use random codes, and Kratos device IDs are hashed before they leave the device.

9. Changes to this policy

When our data handling changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
